How to Join Us

111 Pegasus Squadron accepts applications for new cadets from September until January of each year. Since our programme runs very similarly to a regular school year, it is suggested that all new recruits join in September. Any application after January is generally deferred to the following year.

The following is a list of requirements you must meet to be eligible to join air cadets:
  • Must be between 12 and 19 years of age at the time of enrollment
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant of Canada

Enrollment for 2020-2021 Training Year has started. Please fill out the form below to get started:

https://forms.gle/9GxZ7oGCpkrq1Px6A

Once you have submitted the above form, complete the enrollment forms below and send them to 111admdept@gmail.com with a photo for your child's proof of citizenship and health care card.

** Please keep in mind that the Membership Application Form must be printed on Legal Paper (8.5" x 14").  In addition to these forms, please also bring your child's health care card and their birth certificate, passport, or immigration card. In order to speed the registration process it is helpful if you have both the original and a copy of these documents.  **

Enrollment Forms

To make the registration process as smooth as possible please complete the following forms and bring them when you come to join the Squadron:

Squadron Sponsoring Committee

The Air Cadet program is jointly sponsored by the Department of National Defense (DND) and the Air Cadet League of Canada (ACL).  As a partner to the ACL the 111 Pegasus Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) supports the 111 Pegasus Squadron. Funding for many Cadet activities is provided by the DND; however, there are a number of events and costs that are not funded by the DND including, but not limited to, facility rentals for activities outside the Armoury, website expenses, aircraft maintenance, familiarization flying costs, certain extra-curricular activities, band instruments, insurance, volunteer screening, award trophies and plaques, cadet dinners.  In order to support the SSC in providing funding for these activities we request an SSC Assessment fee from each registering cadet and require cadets to participate in fundraising activities during the year.  The SSC has a financial support policy in place and no cadet will be turned away if their family is unable to pay the SSC Assessment.  If this Assessment creates a financial barrier to registering for the 111 Pegasus Squadron please contact the SSC Chair (chair111air@gmail.com) for a confidential discussion regarding this challenge.  Given the reduced activities available for the 2020/2021 Training Year the SSC Assessment has been reduced to $150.

The forms below are the SSC registration package.  These forms are separate from the DND registration forms above.  The first form is required for all cadets so the SSC knows how to contact our parents while the second is only mandatory for parents who are volunteering to assist at cadet activities.
  1. 2020-2021 Registration Form - Required for all cadets
  2. Volunteer Screening Package
Please complete these forms and e-mail them to the SSC at register111air@gmail.com.

Note With respect to the screening package.  These forms are required for parents willing to be screened to support the squadron as volunteers.  From time to time the Squadron requires parents to volunteer as drivers for various activities or to help with events during the training year.  BCPC policy requires all volunteers to be screened to ensure the safety and security of our cadets.  Please complete these forms if you are wiling to undergo screening to help us out during the year.  If you have any questions about the screening process we will be happy to discuss them with you.
