Summer Training 2021
The provision of ongoing, challenging, meaningful and fun training/activities is essential for the cadet program. However, as COVID-19 remains a significant threat to the Canadian public for the foreseeable future, training and activities conducted at the Corps/Squadron, regional and national levels will be modified to ensure the safety, health and welfare of all Cadets and Staff.
There is a wide variety of virtual training courses that are being offered for 2021. With a combination of instructor led, and self paced courses, cadets will be able to earn qualifications, learn new skills, and connect with friends across Canada. All of the courses will be operated on CADET365.
In addition to the courses, localized opportunities, similar to the spring break Cadet Activities Programs (CAPs) will be available. We will be offering these local “day camp” style activities in-person where public health conditions allow.

Air Cadet Summer Training ProgramSummer training occurs for 6-7 weeks during July and August. Due to the different duration of the courses offered, there are different intake times and number of intakes for each course. An example the General Training Course is 1 week in duration and thus has 6 separate intakes for the course. For Basic Aviation, since it is 3 weeks in duration, has 2 intakes for the course. Each intake begins at a different time and the squadron has no control over which intake your child will be participating in. The cadet must be able to attend the entirety of the course and is only eligible for ONE course per summer.
There are a series of courses available for cadets to participate in based on their level in the cadets program. The available courses are: |
