IMPORTANT - Spring Tag Days

Our Spring Tag Days are coming up on March 4, 5 and 6.  As always, this fundraising event is critical to ensuring the funding required for Squadron activities is available.  At our tag days in the fall we raised in excess of $12,000 - let's all work together and see if we can beat the squadron record and raise in excess of $14,000 this time!
  • As always, all cadets are required to sign up for two shifts.
  • All cadets should arrive at the armoury at the scheduled start time of their shift.
  • Tagging locations will be assigned at the start of the shift and all cadets will be returned to the armoury at the end of their scheduled shift.
  • Cadets who have been issued a uniform should arrive for their shift wearing their C1 uniform; cadets who have not been issued a uniform should arrive in the black pants and white shirt worn on training nights.
  • Due to Cadet safety and scheduling issues please only sign up for shifts where you can attend the entire time.
  • The available shifts for tag days are the same as they were in the fall: Friday March 4, 1630h - 2100h; Saturday March 5, 0930h - 1400h; Saturday March 5, 1330h - 1800h; and Sunday March 6, 1130h - 1600h
  • We need parents to volunteer to drive cadets and help count money during the event.  Please consider volunteering your time during the weekend while your cadets are working their tagging shifts.

Spring Tag Days

Parents & Volunteers,

Tag Day Fundraising is on Friday March 4, Saturday March 5 and Sunday March 6.  Please consider signing up to help while your cadets are doing tagging. All cadets are required to do two shifts in order to raise the much needed funds for their familiarization flying lessons, field trips and extracurricular activities.

  1. In the fall we raised over $12,000.  This spring we challenge the cadets to exceed this amount and raise over $13,000.

  2. We need parents to sign up as drivers on tag days. Without
your help, the kids won't reach their goal! Please help them achieve their
    target and be a volunteer!

You can be a Parents Driver:
  • Need to bring your Driver Licence and Car Insurance paper with you.
  • Let us know how many that you can take in your car.
  • Make sure Cadets are O.K. to stand outside of the store location, not blocking
    the entrance before leaving.
  • Check on them during the shift.

Cadets are expected to arrive 30 mins prior to their respective shifts.

Tag day shifts are:
  • March 4, Friday 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm
  • March 9, Saturday
       9:30 am - 2:00 pm (AM Shift)
       1:30 pm - 6:00 pm (PM Shift)
  • March 10, Sunday 11:30 am - 4:00 pm

Meet at the armoury and cadets will be dispatched to their respective locations.

Each Cadet has to do minimum of 2 shifts or more (sign up on google docs per front  webpage).

Dress for the weather condition and wear gloves.

Cadets must have meal before coming for shifts; we only provide snack & drink in the squadron after their duties.
