Step 2: SSC Registration Form
The form below is the online SSC registration package. These forms are separate from the DND registration forms above. The form is required for all cadets so the SSC knows how to contact your parents.
You may notice there is an assessment associated with registration. Below details this assessment cost. |
What the Assessment funds collected are used for:
The Canadian Cadet Movement (CCM) delivers the Air Cadet Program through a partnership between the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Air Cadet League of Canada. While there is no cost to the Cadet for their uniforms or to participate in the core elements of the Air Cadet Program, the 111 Pegasus Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) charges an annual Assessment to assist with the cost of optional training and equipment not covered by DND including, but not limited to, facility rentals for activities outside the Armoury, website expenses, familiarization flying costs, certain other extra-curricular activities, band instruments, insurance, volunteer screening, award trophies and plaques and cadet dinners as well as the annual BCPC Assessment.
No cadet will be refused registration or disadvantaged in any way because of their parent/guardian’s inability to pay this Assessment. All requests for hardship exemption of this Assessment must be submitted to the SSC Chair (in person or at [email protected]) by the parent/guardian prior to the Cadet’s registration. All communication in this regard will be kept confidential between the parent or guardian and the SSC Chair and is covered under The Air Cadet League of Canada’s Privacy policy.
Assessment Amount:
The 111 Pegasus Squadron Cadet Assessment for the 2024/2025 training year is set at a discounted rate of $250.00. $125.00 of this Assessment is applied to the BCPC Annual Assessment. The remaining amount supports all annual Squadron expenses not covered by the DND. A parent/guardian should accompany new and returning cadets to complete the registration process. Cadets registering without the stipulated assessment must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Assessment Due Date
- All Assessments are due and payable at the time of registration.
- Early Bird Rate: Each year returning cadets are offered an opportunity near the end of the training year to prepay for the following training year at a reduced rate. Details of the early bird rate and payment deadlines will be available to current cadets and parents near the end of each training year.
- Where a single payment would create a hardship for a Cadet joining the Squadron alternate methods of payment, such as installments, can be considered.
SSC Cadet Transfer and Refund Policy
- Cadets Transferring to 111 Pegasus Squadron: If a cadet was previously registered at another Squadron during the current training year and they paid an assessment to the other SSC, the assessment for 111 Pegasus Squadron will be charged only if the assessment at the previous Squadron was refunded to the cadet/parent. 111 Pegasus Squadron reserves the right to request proof of payment to the previous Squadron.
- Cadets Leaving 111 Pegasus Squadron: All new cadets are permitted a 1 month trial period. At any point during that month, a cadet withdrawing from the Squadron is entitled to a refund upon request. No refunds will be issued after one month, regardless of the reason for the withdrawal. Early bird registration fees are not eligible for this refund policy and will not be refunded in any circumstance.
Step 3: Parent Volunteer Screening Package (Optional)
As a parent, are you interested in volunteering and assisting with cadet activities at 111 Pegasus? From time to time, the Squadron requires parents to volunteer as drivers for various activities or to help with events during the training year. BCPC policy requires all volunteers to be screened to ensure the safety and security of our cadets. Please complete these forms if you wish to volunteer to help us out during the year. If you have any questions about the screening process we will be happy to discuss them with you.
The screening package can be accessed from the BCPC site here
